Cetara pesto is a special sauce, a skilful mix of the best known local flavours, simple and genuine products that convey the tradition of these lands.
In this pesto we find a combination of sea and land, which well sums up the refined and popular Mediterranean spirit of the Amalfi Coast.
Inside we find the most characteristic products of these lands, in fact the main base are the famous anchovies and their colatura, now a true symbol of Cetara known throughout the world. The characteristic flavour of these small blue fish perfectly complements the bouquet of local flavours, including almonds, pine nuts, black and green olives, capers, extra virgin olive oil, parsley, basil, oregano, chilli pepper and sea salt.
Cetarese pesto is excellent as a spreadable sauce to be enjoyed on bruschetta and bread croutons, but also as a condiment for the most traditional and well-known of Italian foods, pasta.
